Tokyo Purse & Fragrance Tour

If I could take you on a purse and perfume tour around Tokyo in one jam packed day this is where we’d go (and the order that we’d go in)!

I’ve put these places in a Google Map that you can save and follow when you’re in Tokyo: click here.

Note that some of the links below are eBay, Amazon or ShopMy or other affiliate links. If you shop through my affiliate links, then I make a very small commission on your purchase, so thank you!

1.      Hive Preloved, 403 ROOTS SQUARE, 1 Chome-6-8 Ohashi, Meguro City, Tokyo 153-0044, Japan

Great for: Purses – it’s Fendi heaven and if you love Fendi, you cannot miss.

Stores in Japan usually open around 11 AM, but not Hive. You can book an appointment in their showroom and start your shopping early. It is also a little further out, so it’s a great way to kill time while you’re waiting for the city center to open. I’d recommend booking around 9 – 10 AM so you can shop and then jump on the metro and be at the next store by the time it opens.

You can see their inventory on their website or eBay storefront, and the prices are the same in person except they give 20% off code to use at checkout, which is done in person through their website. Because you checkout on the website, you can use Paypal or other flexible payment options (if needed) but don’t be paying any interest on a purse, friend!

2.      Komeyho,〒150-0042 Tokyo, Shibuya, Udagawacho, 16−9 渋谷 ZERO GATE(ゼロ・ゲート)1階から4階

Great for: Purses, accessories, jewelry and clothing. Each location has a different emphasis – this one listed here has great options for all the above. Some are more jewelry heavy or menswear heavy than others, so do a little research if you’re looking for a particular type of items.

Komehyo is a chain store and honestly, I thought it was the best chain store option. Every location I walked into was super organized, with a variety of items in amazing condition. The prices were also among the best I saw for the quality of items. Although I put this specific location on the list, I’d recommend stopping in to any location that’s on your route.

Jewelry is particularly a good steal here because in addition to brand name jewelry, they also carry other generic gold, silver, platinum, diamond, etc. jewelry that has the same feel of brand name but much cheaper!

Note: This is the same Komehyo that has an eBay storefront.

3.      Nuir (Shibuya), 5階 3-5 Udagawacho, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0042, Japan

Great for: Purses! Lots of options.

This location could drive you crazy if you don’t pay close attention to the buildings because it’s kind of hidden in a very basic, non-descript office building. This store also has an element of fun because it’s somewhat hidden, has a good variety of bags. I’ve tried to put the route in photos above.

This store in particular has a good selection of every major luxury brand (Chanel, Hermes, LV, Balenciaga, MiuMiu, Prada, etc.). It also has a back wall with cheaper, more worn bags at a better price point (Burberry, Celine, etc.). There’s even a man cave for your shopping partners to chill while you shop.

Nuir also has a sister store in Harajuku that is eye-catchingly green. A store attendant told me that they would give me 20-30% off the prices listed on the tags, which would make them more in line with prices I would expect to see – without that discount the Harajuku prices are higher than normal. The Harajuku store address is 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 1 Chome−8 8COXY188ビル 1. You really won’t be able to miss the green interior.

4.      Fugazzi (Shibuya), 6-18-12-1F Jingumae Shibuya-ward Tokyo, Japan

Great for: Perfume!

I’m a sucker for perfume and really like the fresh take on fragrances that I smell at Fugazzi. I personally like Nocologne (citrus, pepper, amber), Orange Crush (orange, amber, wood) and Angel Dust (wood, cashmere and amber). Try the extraits if you’re feeling bold. Prices start around $125 for 50 ML.

5.      MixThinks (Harajuku), 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 6 Chome−28−6 1F

Great for: Purses, especially Louis Vuitton and Chanel.

This is a must visit for any trip, especially because you will be by this store at some point in your trip. The first floor is great, but the second floor is where this store really shines. Just look at the pictures. I don’t think I need to say more. The store attendants were so nice here, too. I got a 5% discount off ticketed price, but not sure if that’s common.

6.      Casanova (Shibuya), 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 5 Chome−11−6 T’s表参道 1F

Great for: Limited edition purses, fun clothing and vibes.

Now this store ain’t cheap, but its bags are rare. It is also a vibe because they make you remove your shoes and you walk around on Tatami mats. One of my favorite stores to just browse and take in the fact that all these rare bags are in one place!

There’s lots of bag stores all around this area, so don’t be shy and drop in as you spot them.

7.      Byredo (Omotesando), 1F Mahal Omotesando, 5 Chome-12-1 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan

Great for: Perfume.

I don’t know at what point it switches from Shibuya or Harajuku to Omotesando, but I love this area. There’s so many good stores! If you like perfume, you definitely need to stop in Byredo. They have all the perfumes that are hard for me to find in Houston. I love the new Absolu versions of Mojave Ghost, Gypsy Water, Bal d’Afrique and Blanche (which I purchased on my trip). Looking back, I wish I got some hand creams as well.

And with the tax back, you’ll get 10% off the prices you would pay in the states.

The store attendants here were so helpful and had great fragrance combo layering recommendations!

8.      Onitsuka (Omotesando), 4 Chome-24-14 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan

Great for: Uncomfortable (?) shoes.

Listen, every Onitsuka store I saw was packed to the brim with lines out of the door, but this one was nowhere near that packed. This store is split into two by a small street. One side is the typical Onitsuka shoes and the other is a more upscale store with shoes that were handmade in Japan. My husband and I each got shoes from the fancy, made in Japan side. He loves his shoes and wore them straight out of the box all day long. Mine ripped my heel off and also were apparently half off the price they sell them for online, but I’ve linked an eBay option that’s closer to what I paid. Do with that what you will. 😊

9.      Refa, 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 4 Chome−12−10 表参道ヒルズ B2F

Great for: Hair products.

Ummm, how come no one told me about this brand? Their styling tools are amazing, and their lightweight hair oil legit changed my life. They also have cute heart hair brushes for your purse.

10.  QOO Vintage, 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 5 Chome−2−6 B1F-2F

Great for: Bags, but a can’t miss if you love Chanel.

There is a whole bottom floor of this store dedicated to Chanel. If you love Chanel, you must visit. The purses (on the main floor) and jewelry (on the top floor) are in great shape. The people who buy for this store have great taste, and I wanted everything. It’s also just fun to look at because it’s styled with vintage antique furniture that I didn’t see anywhere else. Very cozy Americana vibes, which kind of becomes unfamiliar once you’ve been in Japan for a week or two.

11.  Shiro, Japan, 〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 5 Chome−2−7 2F

Great for: Japanese fragrances that are lighter and different than what we have in the US.

I loved almost every Shiro scent that I smelled. They are a bit lighter and delicate than what I am used to. I wish I knew this store existed before I tried to hunt it down in Kyoto, where I purchased Be Like You, a delicious blend of bergamot, lemon, sandalwood, rose, almond, musk and cashmerewood.

12a.  Amore Vintage (Chanel heavy), 1F-2F 5-1-15 Jingumae, Shibuya,Tokyo &

12b. Amore Vintage (LV heavy), 2F 5-1-6 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo

Great for: Purses.

I see this place mentioned everywhere on social media and for good reason. Although the prices are not the cheapest, the quality and variety of bags is really good. There’s also five (?!) stores all within spitting distance of each other in this area, which is wild! You can check out more information on them here. If there’s one location to skip, it’s the “Archive” store.

13.  L’Artisan Perfumeur, Japan, 〒107-0061 Tokyo, Minato City, Kita-Aoyama, 3 Chome−8−15 グリーンテラス 表参道 1階

Great for: Beautiful fragrances if you want something a little bit more niche than Byredo.

These fragrances have a softer scent profile. I grabbed Le Chant de Camargue (with notes of rice, sandalwood and bergamot) while my husband grabbed Cuir Grenat (with notes of raspberry, leather and ambrofix). They also engraved our bottles for free to remember the trip.

14.  Allu Omotesando,〒150-0001 Tokyo, Shibuya, Jingumae, 5 Chome−46−14 Jinguumae 546

Great for: Hermes

I will confess I am not a Hermes gal, so I’m sure there may be better stores to visit, but this one had a great selection. The owner of Allu is the one who bought the original Birkin at auction for $10M, and it was on display here shortly after I visited.

Funny story: I fell in love with and actually tried to buy a Birkin and they still turned me down, so… yeah! 😊I emailed them later because I was so confused why they wouldn’t sell it to me and they said it was a misunderstanding, but I didn’t have time to go back and get it. Just wasn’t meant to be, I guess. I also slept on it and realized I wanted the same bag but in a size 35, so I’m keeping an eye out.

I also thought the staff here were the most stand-offish out of any Allu I visited, but that could be because we entered the store 30 minutes before closing (and tried to buy the bag 10 minutes later — well in advance of closing).

Allu is also a chain luxury resale store, similar to Komehyo, and would recommend stopping in any location if it’s on your route. Their eBay storefront is also one of my favorites.

The Birkin that got away…

I hope you guys enjoyed this list! Please email or DM me with any questions! I’m @influncedbyeveryone on all socials.
